Tour the RU Molecular Imaging Core Throughout the Month of November

The Rutgers University Molecular Imaging Core (RUMIC), functioning under the Office for Research, is offering tours throughout the month of November 2023.

Each 1-hour tour consists of a presentation, providing an overview of the use and capabilities of the Core, followed by a brief demo for each imaging system. Examples of image processing and data analysis will be presented and the application of imaging technology to research will be discussed.

Located within the vivarium of the Medical Research Tower (RWJMS) on Busch Campus in Piscataway, the RUMIC provides Rutgers researchers, with non-invasive approaches to study various biological and disease models in small animals, biological specimens, ex vivo tissues, biomaterials, or physical objects. Comprehensive imaging modalities maintained at the core include Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), PET/CT, nano & microCT, Optical/X-ray Imaging and High-resolution Ultrasound technologies.

Any student, post-doc, individual researcher, or research group interested in the tour can contact Derek Adler at: derek.adler@ored.rutgers.edu to arrange a date and time. Visit us at https://research.rutgers.edu/cores/rumic to explore how the RUMIC can support your research efforts.
