Smartphones and smart speakers may be able to detect alcohol intoxication by analyzing voice patterns: Study

A new study published in the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs, a publication of the Rutgers Center of Alcohol & Substance Use Studies, suggests that smartphones and smart speakers might soon help gauge alcohol intoxication based on changes in your voice. Researchers at Stanford Medicine and the University of Toronto found voice patterns predicted intoxication with 98% accuracy.
