Broadly, my research focuses on how to develop and enhance integrated treatments for PTSD and co-occurring substance use disorders (SUD). I pay special attention to how to modify such treatments to the needs of historically marginalized populations, such as women, racial and ethnic minorities, and individuals with complex, clinical presentations. My current work is examining how to modify and test an integrated treatment for PTSD and co-occurring SUD to opioid use disorder and PTSD. Across this work, I leverage qualitative, quantitative, and ecological momentary data collection methods to inform treatment refinement. My work strives to be interdisciplinary and spans clinical psychology, psychiatry, and technology.
