My research program uses person-centered and precision-medicine frameworks to model heterogeneity within clinical symptoms, treatment, and recovery using data collected from smartphones or other digital technologies. I am especially interested in how these data can be used to enhance measurement-based care, adapt treatments, and improve access to care more broadly. I aim to integrate a person-centered and harm-reduction conceptualization of substance use treatment and recovery into my research and am committed to improving assessment and treatment for those with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, particularly those most impacted by trauma, including women, individuals from marginalized backgrounds, and Veterans.
