Congratulations to Dr. Sarah Brislin, on her new award from the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation (formerly: NARSAD).
The project will integrate neuroimaging, self-report, and clinical data to improve our understanding of comorbidity among addictive disorders, including substance use disorders and gambling disorders. Individuals with comorbid addictive disorders currently face worse treatment outcomes and therefore we need to improve our understanding of transdiagnostic mechanisms may contribute to this clinical presentation. Through this project, researchers will collect neuroimaging data from individuals already enrolled in an ongoing study, funded by the RARC Pilot grant program, to characterize the clinical presentation and treatment progress of patients within UBHC.
