Francesca is a third year Neuroscience PhD student in Dr. Anna Konova’s Addiction and Decision Making Neuroscience Lab. She will be discussing her work on risk-taking and opioid use disorder. Using fMRI, she has examined the role risk tolerances play on the neural representation of subjective value. First looking at group differences in people with OUD in comparison to healthy controls, and then looking at the stability of these representations across OUD treatment using longitudinal MRI. Finally, she will discuss probing how sex administration may impact these longitudinal studies in a contact context dependent manner.
