Poison Prevention for Individuals With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and their Caregivers Webinar
September 14, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
FreeWhen you think of poisons in the home, household cleaners, antifreeze, and laundry detergent probably come immediately to mind. In fact, the list of toxic substances in the home is much wider. Poisons can include medications taken incorrectly, as well as recreational drugs/alcohol, environmental hazards, and even improperly handled food like meat or seafood. Individuals with I/DD necessitate special considerations to stay safe in the family homes, a group home, or while in the homes of others.
Join us for a conversation with Eward Greene, Health Educator from the NJ Poison Center (NJPIES), about potential hazards, proactive poison prevention methods, and who to call for help.
