Participants may be familiar with the term person-centered care, but may struggle with how to apply this approach with clients. This workshop will define person-centered care and discuss the application of this approach from the beginning of treatment to the end stage in outpatient and continuing care settings in rural communities. Participants will also learn the key components of New York State’s Office of Addiction Services and Supports’ (OASAS’) standards of documentation of person-centered care in the treatment records of clients under their care.
