Dan Blalock is a Medical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Duke University School of Medicine. He is also a health services researcher at the Center of Innovation to Advance Discovery and Practice Transformation (ADAPT) in the Durham VA Healthcare System, and serves as leader of the center’s Mental and Behavioral Research Core. Dan is also a licensed clinical psychologist in North Carolina. His research interests include the evaluation of current integrated behavioral health settings in health care systems to optimize future implementation efforts, with a specific focus on substance use – including alcohol use and opioid use.
