We conduct externally-funded, methodologically rigorous, and community-engaged policy research that translates knowledge from basic research to clinical practice to inform policymakers and other stakeholders. Our primary goals are to broaden understanding of addiction to include both substances and behaviors and to devise innovative and effective solutions to address resulting harms across diverse populations. Most importantly, we engage in effective knowledge translation, striving to ensure that all scholarly work in our domain can be practically applied by the public across a variety of settings.
The Public Policy domain is a multidisciplinary collective of scholars, working to address complex and emerging issues in the field of addiction.
