Hello,

My name is Shey Barooah, and I’m a graduate student in the Master of Applied Psychology program at Rutgers GSAPP. I’m currently looking to build sustained research experience in addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions, particularly in clinically oriented and treatment-focused research.

My interests include substance use and its intersection with anxiety, trauma, emotion regulation, maladaptive coping, treatment engagement, and other co-occurring psychopathology. I’m especially interested in research that helps clarify why certain behavioral patterns develop and how those findings can inform more effective assessment and intervention.

My clinical experience includes crisis intervention as a Crisis Counselor with Crisis Text Line and recent work in an intensive behavioral program for children and adolescents with selective mutism, where I gained experience with exposure-based strategies, behavioral observation, and collaborative clinical discussion. Through my graduate training, I’m also continuing to strengthen my skills in research design, quantitative methods, and data analysis.

I’m interested in contributing to a Rutgers lab in either a volunteer or paid research assistant capacity. Ideally, I’m looking for a role where I can contribute consistently, develop progressively greater responsibility, and build substantive research skills over time.

I’d be happy to share my CV and discuss whether my background might be useful to any current or upcoming projects. Please feel free to contact me through the forum or at my Rutgers email (sb2330@scarletmail.rutgers.edu).

Thank you for your time and consideration!

I usually also post press release updates when I find something useful, especially related to cities like jaisalmer, so others can benefit as well.

Hello,

My name is Mira Varadachari, and I am a rising junior in Rutgers University - New Brunswick with a major in biomedical engineering. Since I embarked on my college journey, I yearned to secure an internship or research position and work in a laboratory to gain research and hands-on experience. At a young age, I developed an avidity for science, particlarly in science and medicine. As I commenced on my high school and college journey, I became zealous about psychology and neuroscience, and hoped to apply engineering disciplines to these fields. I am interested in research that entails biology, psychology, and neuroscience, primarily on psychological and neurological disorders and treatment to them. I want the chance to apply my knowledge and skills as well as gain new skills and expand my understanding. I want to apply whatever I learned from here to any career I pursue (Medical Research) and thereby make a meaningful impact to the world.

Please reach out to me at himirav@gmail.com or mrv74@scarletmail.rutgers.edu about opportunities aligning with my passions.

Thank you,

Student research projects are an excellent means of acquiring first-hand experience, developing academic abilities, and making meaningful contributions to actual studies. Whether through university initiatives, internships, or independent research, early involvement can lead to conference acceptance and publications. If you're thinking of publishing more formally, other students also pursue opportunities via top research paper publication services that assist with editing, typesetting, and learning about publishing requirements. It's a useful step if you wish to make your study more accessible and credible among academia.
